The day before yesterday I went to Kansas City with Mr. A. We arrived at LaGuardia and used one of those kiosk auto check-in contraptions to get our boarding passes. Through a twist of fate which isn't worth detailing, I ended up with Mr. A's boarding pass for the Chicago to Kansas City portion of our trip. Unaware of this, I went through the required 3 or 4 ID and boarding pass checks, along with the metal detector, and arrived at my gate without a hitch. This is a problem, from a "war on terror" point of view, since Mr. A is 8 inches taller than me, our names are not in any way similar, and I wasn't at O'Hare airport as the boarding pass stated. Could I have possibly arrived at my gate by flashing my last ATM receipt and a MetroCard?
Back in NYC a woman on the subway stairs advised, "You don't be lookin' at me, or I'll hit you up the side of the head with my 'mbrella!"
