Last night on the subway there was a man who sounded just like a cricket each time he sniffed.

CRRREEEEEEET!!

He was sniffing quite a bit. Repetitively, often, and redundantly. Typically, unusual subway activity is met with no reaction, but his crickety sniffing was so loud and prolific that he had developed some fans. They enjoyed watching the look of shock that crossed each new passenger's face when they first heard him exhibit his strange skill - one acquired after years of snorting, probably.
